The new ordinance for evaporative cooling plants and wet scrubbers was adopted by the Federal Council

The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Conservation, Construction and Reactor Safety (BMUB) has published the cabinet’s version for the 42nd BImSchV (ordinance about evaporative cooling plants and wet scrubbers (VerdunstKühlV)), giving concrete specifications for a hygienically sound operation of such systems. Among others, the new legionella ordinance stipulates a duty to notify of new and existing plants.
The draft was adopted on 02 June 2017 by the Federal Council.
