The new coracon® GEKO WF is the first heat transfer fluid classified as non-hazardous to water (no-WHC).
aqua-concept GmbH has developed the innovative coracon® GEKO WF, the first heat transfer fluid allowed to bear the classification “non-hazardous to water (no-WHC)”. The unique product is shown for the first time at the Energiesparmesse tradeshow in Wels/Austria, from 24 to 28 February 2016.
coracon® GEKO WF is non-hazardous to water (no-WHC)
The product does not consist of the customary glycol, but of a speciality water and an innovative composition of outstanding inhibitors. They reliably and effectively prevent the occurrence of corrosion and deposits. Any additives are 100% biodegradable.
coracon® GEKO WF is absolutely free from glycol
Traditional heat transfer fluids contain glycol and therefore do not get beyond a WHC 1 classification. However, there are fields of application for near-surface geothermal energy where permits are only granted if the fluids used are classified as non-hazardous to water (no-WHC). This is the case, for example, in many potable water reserves.
coracon® GEKO WF is highly effective
The new coracon® GEKO WF ensures efficient operational performance, optimum system protection and enables geothermal energy even in potable water reserves where a WHC 1 classification is not enough. The plant must be dimensioned to always run in a positive temperature range.
The highlights of coracon® GEKO WF
- Non-hazardous to water (no-WHC)
- Absolutely glycol-free
- More heat transfer
- Increased efficiency
- Minimum environmental damage
