coracon® LT EKO heat transfer fluid
Maximum environmental protection and efficiency for low-temperature applications
coracon® LT EKO is an absolutely novel heat transfer fluid from the GreenProducts series for low-temperature applications.
Together with our partner company, bioamberTM, and intense product and application research, we have developed coracon® LT EKO, a heat transfer fluid that sets new standards. The product is made using renewable raw materials and sustainable production processes to ensure optimum performance and a uniquely sound environmental footprint. The product is 100% plant-based, needs fewer inhibitors and is manufactured with minimum emissions and small amounts of energy.
coracon® LT EKO based on bioamberTM
The antifreeze component used in this heat transfer fluid is based on organic succinic acid manufactured from a microbacterial fermentation process of renewable raw materials. A specific neutralisation process helps to develop an excellent frost protection property that also protects from corrosion. The result: The product excels in lower viscosity than glycol-based fluids. It uses significantly less energy and cuts costs to a minimum.
coracon® LT EKO has very good heat transfer even at low temperatures down to –50°C. Unlike acetate- and formate-based coolants, it is not aggressive to materials, in particular in combination with oxygen.
Temperature range: –50°C to +20°C.
Main field of application: Cold stores, railways, wind tunnels, deep-freeze counters, etc.
Good for humans, good for the environment
Succinic acid—the main component in coracon® LT EKO—is a renewable raw material. It is non-toxic, biodegradable and not flammable. It contains neither carcinogenic, mutagenic nor reprotoxic substances and can be used in near-food areas without any concerns.
It is produced from nothing but innovative, environmentally friendly and CO2-reduced processes.
